Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Insurance Producer to join our dynamic customer service team in a fast-paced, high-volume office. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing a variety of insurance-related inquiries, providing expert guidance, and ensuring client satisfaction. You will be expected to maintain strong relationships with clients, handle policy adjustments, and assist with claims processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Provide timely, courteous, and accurate service to clients over the phone, via email, or in person. Respond to a high volume of customer inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Insurance Expertise: Offer expert advice to clients regarding various insurance products (auto, home, life, health, etc.), explaining coverage options, terms, and rates.
- Policy Management: Assist clients in making changes to their policies, including policy updates, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals. Ensure that all modifications are properly documented and processed.
- Sales Support: Identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling additional coverage based on client needs, ensuring that all interactions are aligned with client goals and needs.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate client records, document customer interactions, and update insurance policies in the system in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all company and industry regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Handle complex customer issues with a focus on resolving concerns efficiently. Provide solutions that balance customer satisfaction and company policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow agents, underwriters, and management to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional service delivery. Share best practices and contribute to team success.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an insurance agent or in a customer service role within the insurance industry.
- Licensing: Active state insurance licenses (e.g., Property and Casualty, Life & Health).
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle difficult or complex situations with professionalism and patience. Strong attention to detail.
- Time Management: Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines without compromising service quality.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using insurance management systems, customer service platforms, and general office software (MS Office, CRM tools, etc.).
- Customer-Centric Attitude: A passion for delivering excellent service and building lasting client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a high-volume office environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
- Experience with claims handling or underwriting is advantageous.
